We at Artspace understand how important funding is for artists, and how the language used in grants can be tricky to navigate. Artists of color often have to rely on grants in order to continue their livelihoods creating art at the capacity they can. We want to stay true to our anti-racism values written in our mission statement and to do our part to address this need.
This two-part workshop will be led by IfeMichelle Gardin and hosted and assisted by Lisa Dent. They will go over how to write a compelling artist statement, how to search for grants and navigate the applications. This workshop is free of charge but there are a limited number of spots, so sign up while you still can!
All participants must be masked at all times during the event.
